Hello, my name is Seonaid (pronounced Shona) and I run Sprout Up.

What my parents lack in straightforward spelling they make up for with their love of gardening. Fortunately, that’s something they passed on to me. (My spelling’s not great either, to be fair.)

I have learned on the job since I was old enough to prune a hedge, and have been passionate about our natural environment ever since.

​

Sprout Up began life in 2011 offering maintenance and simple planting schemes, but before long blossomed into a fully-fledged garden design service for both private and commercial clients alike. In the meantime, I supplemented my parental tutelage with a Diploma in Garden Design.

​

Planning a garden takes more than just gardening skills, however. It also requires a large amount of project management. Thankfully, before I started Sprout Up I worked as a television production manager for the BBC, so project management comes naturally to me. Which means I can work with you to make sure your garden comes in on time and on budget with the minimum amount of fuss.
